“The last true musical genius of the classic age.” – Elton Townend Jones, Drunken Werewolf

Truly a unique musician, Anton Barbeau will be coming to Davis October 7 with his band “Kenny” at The Melon Ball. Pulling from artists like Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, Andy Partridge, and Julian Cope, Barbeau has been described as “a bit of a genius” by BBC Radio and KFJC. Barbeau is now based in Berlin, and this will be his only appearance in California with his longtime backing band. During a brief run through northern California, Barbeau has been sharing the stage with many other well-known Sacramento musicians. Please bring your friends and enjoy a wonderful evening of music with this lyrical legend at The Melon Ball. Tickets are $10 available in store, online, or at the door.

“More than two decades after pop-savvy acid-eaters like John Lennon and Syd Barrett cracked the cosmic egg, this Sacramento songwriter slithered forth with a pure distillation of lyrical jabberwocky, brain-burrowing melody and mystical psych-guitar fuzz.” -SPIN Magazine, “The 100 Greatest Bands You’ve (probably) Never Heard”
