Used Danelectro U2 Reissue Electric Guitar - Mint Green W/Gigbag

A cool blast from the past!

Made between 1998-2001, this is a Korean reissue of the Danelectro U2, which was originally introduced in 1956.

This funky little guitar is actually a semi-hollow, with a Masonite top and back over a wood frame. As well as being nice and light, it also has a surprisingly resonant sound when it's unplugged.

The U2 is equipped with two "lipstick tube" single coil pickups wired in series, each controlled by a dual volume/tone knob. It has a bright, twangy tone perfect for clean 50's rock and surf, and takes distortion very well if you want to bash out some garage rock.

This guitar is in good condtion. Several dings around the edges and some microscratches on the back. Original rosewood saddle is present, and is just barely starting to bend, a common occurrence on these bridges. It appears as though the tuners were replaced at some point as well.
