Beethoven Sonata Op. 17 - Horn (or Cello) & Piano

The Sonata was written expressly for the leading talent on the natural horn of the day, and was thus considered out of reach for most others. One year after the premiere, the Sonata was published as for horn or violoncello, and was readily adopted as repertoire for the latter.
