Bopol Mansiamina Ladi Mbala (born Emmanuel Maleso) is a multi talented guitar player, song writer and vocalist from Congo Ex-Zaire .Ladi's musical career has spanned over 45 yrs, during which he has played alongside most of the contemporary Congolese stars. Between 1970 to 1972, while still a teenager, young Ladi joined his first band Tout Puissant Zembe Zembe. After a number of spells with different orchestras such as Tous Choc Banita, Chiko, Bayoke, etc..Ladi finally formed his own orchestra Egogo Moto Moto. Lady's big break came in 1993 when he joined General Defao,with whom he toured the world until 2001, when he settled in UK. Ladi is a musician in demand, currently involved in major recordings with different African artists such as,Mose Fan Fan , Kanda Bongo Man, Sakis & Dada to name a few. Ladi’s distinctive guitar style along with his vocal range and dancing moves, has been his trademark during his career.
